It’s time for UID implementation!

UID Marking

If you are a DoD Contractor, or military Program Manager, you need to implement UID.
  • Fiscal Year 2007:
    • (a) all existing serialized assets that meet the UID criteria must be entered in the UID Registry, and
    • (b) UID marking capabilities must be established for all existing items and embedded assets such that marking can commence as applicable equipment are returned for maintenance.
  • December 31, 2010: Complete UID marking of items and all applicable embedded assets within existing items.
